ZHUART is accelerating innovation across the bamboo industry, setting new benchmarks for efficiency, sustainability, and product performance. With an investment of 192 million RMB in its Phase I and Phase II factories in Jianyang, Fujian Province, ZHUART operates over 53,800 square meters of standardized factory space and holds multiple self-developed invention patents.
Since its inception, ZHUART has prioritized green development through technological innovation, integrating automation and intelligent production systems to reduce costs and enhance efficiency.
Advancing Productivity Through Automation and Smart Manufacturing
On November 22, at the ZHUART factory, engineers were fine-tuning an advanced robotic and automated system co-developed with the College of Mechanical Automation at Fuzhou University and the College of Material Science and Engineering at Nanjing Forestry University. These systems focus on intelligent solutions for bamboo fiber separation, bundling, and transport. The project is still in the R&D phase but has already demonstrated significant potential for efficiency gains.

Mr. He Pincai, Chairman of ZHUART Group, explained:
“Once this project succeeds, we will reduce the workforce needed for certain tasks from 26 employees to just 8, significantly improving efficiency while reducing time consumption and energy use.”
Designing for Sustainability: A Circular Approach
ZHUART also plans to integrate its first, second, and third factories into a digitally connected ecosystem. This integration will support a circular production model, enhancing environmental performance.
The Chairman added:
“Our outdoor bamboo boards are biodegradable after more than 15 years of use. Once returned, they can be disassembled and repurposed as biomass fuel. Through centralized thermal energy supply and wastewater management, we ensure our bamboo products are more sustainable, ecological, and environmentally friendly. Here in Northern Fujian, we have the best moso bamboo, the best products, and the best ecological practices.”
Sustainability is embedded in every stage of ZHUART’s product lifecycle. After years of outdoor service, thermo bamboo materials can be dismantled, recycled, and turned into biomass fuel to help power the factory’s energy system. This approach supports ZHUART’s mission to build a closed-loop bamboo material cycle that aligns with global green development goals.
A Vision for the Future: Technology and Ecology in Harmony
ZHUART continues to lead the way in blending technological advancements with sustainable practices, positioning itself as a global innovator in the bamboo industry. Through consistent investment in research, manufacturing innovation, and environmental responsibility, ZHUART is redefining what bamboo materials can achieve.
